Annual Meeting – hidden

The Red Crown Credit Union Annual Meeting and Election will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 3:00pm in the Red Crown Credit Union Board Room located at the Red Crown Credit Union Southtown location (5001 E. 91st St. Tulsa, OK. 74137).

In accordance with the Credit Union’s Bylaws, the Nominating Committee Secretary hereby submits the following Annual Election Notice: There are three, 3-year terms expiring to be fulfilled on the Board of Directors. The following three Volunteers have been nominated for election by the Nominating Committee:

  • Larry Barry
  • Lisa Strickland
  • JoNelle Parks

An election will not be conducted by ballot where there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. If there is at least one nomination by petition, an election will be held in the branches by ballot two weeks prior to the Annual Meeting. If there are no nominations by petition, the candidates nominated by the committee will be elected by acclamation at the Annual Meeting.

Red Crown Credit Union members who are not nominated by the Committee, but would like to run for election, may pursue nomination by petition. Any member who wants to submit a nomination by petition must obtain a Petition Packet from the Red Crown Credit Union Southtown location. When returned, the petition must be signed by one percent of the membership with a maximum of 500. As of November 30, 2023 Red Crown Credit Union had 21,633 members and therefore the Nomination Petition must be signed by at least 216 Red Crown Credit Union primary account holders.

Each Nominee by Petition shall submit a Statement of Qualifications, Biographical Data and a signed Certificate stating that they are agreeable to nomination and will serve, if elected, to office. All petitions must be returned to the Red Crown Credit Union Southtown location by February 23, 2024.

Board of Directors

The Red Crown Board of Directors consists of members who are elected by our members at our Annual Meeting. The board then elects officers, which include: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. In addition to being a member of the board, each member is required to be on a committee and have good attendance.

The main task of the Board of Directors is to direct the business affairs, set policies and direct the long term operations of Red Crown in monthly board meetings.

Supervisory Committee

The Supervisory Committee is an audit committee that oversees the audits and internal controls of the credit union. They are responsible for ensuring a complete and thorough credit union audit is conducted at least once a year. This helps the board ensure that the financial condition of Red Crown is accurately and fairly presented in the financial statements and that the management’s practices and procedures are sufficient to safeguard members’ assets.
