Community Debit Cards: Giving Back to Oklahoma Schools
Community Debit Cards: Giving Back to Nine Northeast Oklahoma Schools

Red Crown’s Community Debit Cards let you carry your school’s colors and give back every time you pay. Each time a member uses one, Red Crown makes a donation to that school. In Pryor alone, those everyday purchases have added up to more than $42,000 since 2017.
Red Crown Credit Union serves Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma. We offer school cards for public and private schools across Mayes and Rogers counties. This post is our thank-you to every member who carries one, and a look at where that support has gone, school by school.
What Is a Community Debit Card?
A Community Debit Card is a Red Crown Mastercard debit card printed with a local school’s mascot and colors. It works anywhere your Red Crown debit card works. The difference is what happens after you swipe. Red Crown makes a donation to that school every time you use it, at no cost to you.
Every school card carries the same features as our other Red Crown debit cards. That includes CardHub, digital wallets, surcharge-free ATMs, and EMV chip and contactless technology. You get the same card you already trust. Your school gets a little more support with every purchase.
Which Schools Does Red Crown Support?

Community Debit Cards in Pryor and Mayes County
Mayes County is home to two of our five branches, so six of our school cards are here. From Pryor to Salina, these are the communities where our members live, work, and cheer on Friday nights.
Pryor Tigers Debit Card
With the use of this debit card, Red Crown has donated over $42,000 to Pryor Public Schools since 2017.
Our connection with Pryor goes beyond the card. In May 2026, Red Crown and Pryor Public Schools co-hosted the Wheels for Wishes Car Show at Pryor Tiger Football Stadium to benefit Make-A-Wish Oklahoma. We also sat down with Coach David Day, director of the Pryor Public Schools Innovation Center, on Episode 7 of Common Centsibility.

William Bradford Christian Debit Card
Our support in Pryor reaches past the public school district, too. The William Bradford Christian Debit Card supports William Bradford Christian School, a private Christian school in Pryor. Every time a member uses it, Red Crown makes a donation to the school.

Adair Warriors Debit Card
Red Crown is proud to partner with Adair Public Schools. Every time a member uses an Adair Warriors Debit Card, Red Crown makes a donation to the district.
In August 2026, Red Crown was at Adair to kick off the school year with teachers. We served a hot breakfast, spun the prize wheel for cash, and presented a donation to the school from the Adair Warriors card program. Learn more about the Adair Warriors Debit Card.
Salina Wildcats Debit Card
Salina Public Schools is one of our Mayes County school partners. Every time a member uses a Salina Wildcats Debit Card, Red Crown makes a donation to Salina Public Schools.
Salina teachers were part of our 2026 Teacher Breakfast, too. Before the first bell rang, we brought breakfast, prize wheel spins for cash, and a donation from the card program. Teachers there deserve to know how much they are appreciated. Learn more about the Salina Wildcats Debit Card.
Locust Grove Pirates Debit Card
Locust Grove Public Schools is another of our Mayes County partners. Every time a member uses a Locust Grove Pirates Debit Card, Red Crown makes a donation to Locust Grove Public Schools.
Locust Grove was the first stop of our 2026 Teacher Breakfast. Teachers started the year with a hot breakfast, a chance to spin the wheel for cash prizes, and a donation presented back to the school. Learn more about the Locust Grove Pirates Debit Card.
Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats Debit Card

In August 2026, Red Crown was there for the excitement at Claremore’s back-to-school assembly. We brought our prize wheel for cash giveaways and handed out free power banks to help kick off the year right. Claremore teachers, thank you for everything you do for these students.

How Much Has Red Crown Donated to Local Schools?
Every community card adds to the support going back to local classrooms. Here is where those partnerships stand today:
- Pryor Public Schools: over $42,000 since 2017
- Salina Public Schools: $18,550 since 2017
- Adair Public Schools: $18,350 since 2017
- Locust Grove Public Schools: $16,000 since 2018
- Verdigris Public Schools: $10,000 since 2019
- Sequoyah Public Schools: $10,000 since 2019
- Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools: $10,000 since 2019
- Claremore Public Schools: $8,500 since 2021
Every one of those dollars started as an ordinary purchase: a tank of gas, a grocery run, a Friday night ticket at the gate. Thank you to every member who carries a school card. Your everyday purchases help support local classrooms, and we are proud to be part of that.
What Happened at Red Crown’s 2026 Teacher Breakfasts?
In August 2026, Red Crown spent the first mornings of the school year with teachers at our partner schools. Each school had its own day, usually before students arrived.
At Locust Grove, Adair, and Salina, we brought a hot breakfast catered by a local diner. We set up our prize wheel for cash giveaways and handed out power banks printed with each school’s logo. Then we presented a check to the school from its debit card program. In Claremore, we joined the district’s back-to-school assembly with our prize wheel and free power banks.
It was a lot of fun, and it was a chance to say something simple: teachers, you are appreciated. You can watch the recap videos from each school on our Facebook page.

More Red Crown Debit Cards That Give Back
Schools are not the only causes our members support every time they pay. Red Crown also offers community debit cards for local organizations:
- VETS Debit Card: Supports Oklahoma veterans through our partnership with the Coffee Bunker. With the use of this debit card, Red Crown has donated $65,000 since 2022.
- Saint Francis Children’s Hospital Debit Card: Supports the children and families at Saint Francis Children’s Hospital.
- Tulsa Flag Debit Card: Supports a different local charity each year.
Why Does a Credit Union Invest in Local Schools?
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives owned by their members, according to the National Credit Union Administration. Red Crown is not owned by shareholders. It is owned by the people who bank here, and many of them live in Pryor, Salina, Claremore, and the towns in between.
When the people who own your credit union are the same people sitting in the bleachers, supporting their schools is simply part of the job. You can see more of what we do in the community on our Community Outreach page.
